Radio Tour with A Day To Remember

Holy crap. I love these photos. Throw the same guys into different environments and together we can make some good images. My photography plays a significant role in making these photos, but the band’s willingness to work with me to create them is even more important. I am so happy I have made it to this point, with this band. It has taken years but I love what we are creating. *end feelings*

11/16/2013 – London, United Kingdom – Off Day

We started the runoff in London. I had just finished my tour with PTV/ BMTH so I met them in London, we didn’t have anything to do the first night so we went out on the town with their local promoter and their manager. This wasn’t normal to me, it still isn’t, have I been spending a lot more time with the band when they are on tour, not doing typical shows. Pretty much living there away from home life 100% of the time- almost like, being in a band. It helps me really understand just how hard these guys work. Keep in mind every show in this blog is for a purpose, for a radio station, for an exclusive they offered with their record, or for a publication. These are all the things the band *does* when they are not playing a show and not at home.

11/17/2013 – London, United Kingdom – Warped Tour – Alexandra Palace

The next morning we were off to an early start. There weren’t 6 of us as usual, just 4. Kevin, Neil, Jeremy, and I. It was a bit weird, as I wasn’t used to being with just part of the band… but honestly, I liked it. It was a totally different vibe. I didn’t like that Josh and Alex were not there, but I liked that just Neil, Kevin, and Jer, were. If that makes sense.

We went to Alexandra Palace on that day. Alexandra Palace is a massive venue in London, where Warped Tour takes place. The band was playing doing a signing and playing a secret surprise acoustic set. It was funny cause they didn’t have a guitar tech with them so they had to tune their own guitars.

After the show, we went out to eat with their manager. I am never quite sure if I should be at these events with the guys, but they let me come most of the time. I think that’s pretty rad, as to me, this is private stuff, so I would understand if they just wanted to go on their own. Nice of them though. I think I get treated pretty well.

11/18/2013 – London, United Kingdom – Press Day

This day started with a few different radio station visits and interviews and ended with another awesome acoustic show. I love watching the band acoustic, they are just as good. I am an avid acoustic fan.

11/19/2013 – London, United Kingdom – Press Day

The last day of this trip consisted of a trip to the Kerrang! offices to start it off. For the second half of the day we posted up at a restaurant and they had different magazines come to it to interview the band. It was pretty cool, great food, nice lighting, and I could take a nap!

11/25/2013 – Orlando, FL => Los Angeles, CA – Travel Day

Full band! We were back to full band land. We did a quick trip from Orlando to LA. That night we had off so we hung around in LA with our friend Sal.

12/7/2013 – St. Petersburg, FL – 97x Next Big Thing Festival – Vinoy Park

We had a bit off between LA and this last leg of radio runs. From my end, I was kinda exhausted. It had been a really long year and everything from here on out was kinda scheduled last minute. I still enjoyed it just as much, but I really was looking forward to getting home as well. We had two big festivals in Orlando, a few days off, and then it was back to flying around with just the three guys again

The first stop was Reno. This whole trip was full of a lot of hotels, going out to eat, and exercising. It was good to be able to kind of do a “home life” while on the road.
