$7,000.00 Raised For Kenadee Lucker Education Fund

This blog is the conclusion to an earlier post.

Just wanted to start this off by saying thank you to everyone and especially to Oli. Mitch was really embedded into the community I work/ live with and for him to just up and die like that- well it effected a lot of people. After he passed I sifted through my old photos and tried to dig up anything I had of him. I found this image of him and Oli of Bring Me The Horizon in Vegas while we were all on Warped Tour 2010. I don’t imagine either of them were sober at all in this image, but they sure as hell were happy, and with all their friends, celebrating.

Anyway I e-mailed the photo to Oli and he mentioned it could be cool to do a fundraiser with this image and he would be willing to sign each one. The money would then be put towards Kenadee’s (his daughter) education fund. So we did that. I set up a print page, and about 220 people from around the world ordered the print. They were all sent to Oli in London where he signed each one. For each one sold we raised about $30, give or take depending on a few different factors.

In addition I also sold 5 other prints I had of Mitch and/or Mitch and his daughter Kenadee

In addition Oli spent about 2k out of pocket paying for the shipping from his warehouse to everyone around the world. The prints went to Austria, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the United States. The prints are still being sent out, but a few made it already and some of the people sent me pics of them holding them.

In the end we ended up donating $7,000.00 I don’t think I have ever been so stoked on a project in my life.

If you aren’t familiar with who Mitch was, I suggest watching this video. It really shows his personality- father of one, friend of the rest. Thanks for giving so much Mitch. RIP.
