We shot for a good five hours in about nine different locations, soon after we left the area was hit by a tsunami and people had to be evacuated.
This shoot took a good four hours of set up, and three hours of shooting, and lots of standing still.
I didn't have a mount for the tripod so I ended up using a boom stand and attaching it to my friends tripod, which worked out great.
Dry ice is probably my favorite thing to use, and I used it in this shoot again. I suggest trying it out someday if you haven't already.
My friend mitch followed me around with an Octabox as the shoot consisted of the band walking around and looking badass. Kept everything quick and on the go.
Someone was shot during out shoot, which is new to me, I have never heard a gunshot before. Helicopters, cop cars, and so on came racing around about 4 minutes into the photo shoot.
This shoot was done in the middle of a desert like area. The guys were on a video shoot all day and after they were done I had a good 30 minutes with them to grab some shots with them.
This shoot was done right off a street exit in San Diego. If you look in background of the video you can see the cars driving back and such. In total the shoot was about 20 minutes with the band, as I had them picked up from the venue, photographed, and dropped off in time so they could play their set.
This shoot was done in a total of two locations. The first location was in a field where they fly model airplanes. I had never seen one of these before, the location was perfect aside from airplanes coming real close to us.
The second location was right of the road by some industrial looking junk.
